This 1932 home had been beautifully restored by the owners but the original small kitchen was not functional for an active family of 4 who love to cook.
Our client was instrumental in knowing that an addition of 6′ was a must in order to get everything she wanted in her new kitchen. We kept the original doorway to the dining room to honor the architecture of the home. The half bath off the kitchen was able to stay just next to the new full glass back door by adding a partition wall left of the kitchen sink with a custom clear leaded glass piece, that sparkles in the morning sun. The restored vintage range performs like a charm and brings original charm to the space. The beautiful custom hutch holds all her vintage dishes, while showcasing the photograph she took of the countryside while in Orvieto. The kitchen feels it belongs in this vintage perfectly appointed home.
