Cucina di Cannelora is committed to guiding our clients through the process in a way that is easy and straightforward. Here is our step-by-step approach:

Step 1

We begin with a phone conversation to ask a few questions, so we’re well prepared for your visit.

Step 2

Come visit our beautiful, unique Victorian showroom in Alameda for a complimentary 1-hour consultation with Lisa Cannelora and members of our team. You will learn more about our company and get an opportunity to view our digital portfolio, which includes samples of our 400+ completed projects. You will tell us more about your functional needs and expectations, scope of work, style, budget, materials, and appliance wish list. We are an active showroom, with functioning displays of quality materials – cabinets, fixtures, countertops, and other finishes. We will draft a list of appliances and give you suggestions of local vendors we trust.

Step 3

Schedule Measure Appointment, and we will come to your home with your appliance choices in hand. While in your home, we will learn more about how YOU cook in order to develop a plan that reflects our discussions, your lifestyle, and needs. Precision is one of our fortes: “measure twice, cut once!” The rate for measures is $1,000 and takes 1 to 1.5 hours.

Step 4

Plan Presentation Meeting. CdiC then presents you with a floor plan, elevations, lighting plan, and realistic estimate, less the contractor’s labor. It is your choice to proceed independently or continue to work with us for the remainder of the process. The full plan purchase is $1,000.

Step 5

One of our coveted contractors will provide a labor bid for your review. We’ll continue to introduce you to professional sub-contractors, suppliers, and experts to make your vision a reality. In order to provide a successful experience, we only work with a contractor in our network.

When you choose to accept our design agreement and project contract, we require a 50% deposit, then we continue the process as follows:

Step 6

We create working documents for permits, timelines, and refine the plan as needed.

Step 7

Incremental choices. In manageable steps, we will assist you with choosing cabinets, fixtures, hardware, counters, and other finishes from our quality product lines that compliment your design, home, and taste. Next, orders are placed, arrival dates are specified, and construction begins. We manage your project and ensure a smooth process by being there every step of the way. We interface with the contractor weekly or daily when necessary.
